Anyone want to do a real quick beta (it probably doesn’t need much work and I definitely need it back by Tuesday) for feels-like-fire’s birthday fic? It’s Avengers, Tony/Steve, college!au, and decidedly NC-17, 9200 words, but like I said, I don’t think it needs much more than a read-through.

Yeah, I know it’s Easter but I can’t be the only one whose Easter plans involve Netflix and beer and maybe a YouTube video of the Hallelujah Chorus just for the hell of it.

I’m done drafting, and there is one possible squick, but I’m going to let you email (circ dot bamboo at gmail dot com) or PM me for it if you’re interested. I’d apologize for the late notice but I started it around 4pm Friday, so.

Got two, thanks, but if someone's going to be in the mood to beta some Bond/Q BDSM-y fisting fic in a couple of days (maybe as early as tomorrow), shoot me an email.

Antonia Carter Stark takes no shit and no prisoners.

This story is kind of fucking awesome and, I think, my favorite always-female Tony Stark to date. And yes, I've read a lot of always-female Tony Starks.

There's really something to be said for coming up with a non-gendered name for the armor, I'll admit. But primarily I like this because being Antonia Stark instead of Anthony Stark, even born in 1970 (or whenever), is going to come with a whole heaping set of problems that are different, and the author addressed them in a way that I liked best.

YMMV, of course.

Prop photograph from The Avengers with bio info on Tony Stark (including a birthdate).

I find it highly amusing that SHIELD is not aware that Tony Stark can speak French. (Or, actually, I find it more amusing that whoever made the props apparently forgot to watch IM2.)

[no wait, i store it in the fridge]
which kinda means that tony's malibu house is perfect: science kinda underground but not, so iron man can get out easily
her: :-D
me: but the tower.
where do you put the science?
or the archery range?
her: i'm assuming the archery range is vertical and there's like anti-grav boots or suction cups involved.
her: :-D
feel free to steal that, btw. ;)

I complain, and then all of a sudden my flist drops a properly-timed big bang into my lap.

I'm okay with this.

Avengers this time.

Honestly, I have no opinion whatsoever, but I'm at the point where I have to decide.

Title: Burns Longer
Fandom: Marvel Cinematic (Avengers) Universe
Summary: There really is a cellist. She does move to Portland.
Pairing/Characters: Phil Coulson/Eliana 'Ellie' Brecher, aka The Cellist; Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Pepper Potts, and Tony Stark, plus assorted OCs

Rating: PG-13
Content Advisory: Major character death, maybe. Angst and bad musician jokes, definitely.
Word Count: 5000 or 6000, depending on how you look at it
Notes: This story has two versions: The one where Phil dies, and the one where he doesn't. There's a link in the middle to switch if you want; the one where he doesn't is Chapter 2.

Link to story on AO3, since formatting it for LJ would be annoying

I have ALL THE FEELINGS but I think the first thing I'm going to say is that I AM NOT OKAY WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE BEING DEAD AND REMAINING THAT WAY.

The second thing I'm going to say is Tony Stark, why so awesome?

The dialogue and, ha, plot twist, was pretty much pure Joss Whedon, but also the . . . I'm going to say the heart of the movie. So I guess I can't have one without the other, you know?

(I should mention in here that I run extremely hot and cold on JW. I adore Firefly because duh but I haven't been able to get into anything else.)

Okay, that's enough for now.
